Host Department Information
When recruiting host departments and mentors for the MSARF program, FAER strives to offer medical students a variety of research topics and locations with high-quality research and teaching environments. FAER expects host deparments to provide complementary clinical exposure to anesthesiology subspecialties during approximately 15 percent of a student's time with the department.
2009 host department applications are available on the MSARF Applications page. Completed applications are due December 8, 2008.

- Providing dedicated MD and/or PhD mentor(s) and a project for the medical student.
- Providing 15-percent clinical anesthesia exposure (such as OR, Pain, OB, Critical Care).
- Facilitating an opportunity for the medical student to present at a didactic activity.
