FAER and four subspecialty societies are partnering to provide resident scholars the opportunity to attend a subspecialty meeting on the day before the ASA annual meeting begins (Friday, October 12). The participating subspecialty societies include: the Society for Education in Anesthesia (SEA), the Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesia and Critical Care (SNACC), the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (SOCCA) and the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia (SPA).

The department chair or program director must indicate on the FAER resident scholar application form that their resident should be considered for one of the four subspecialty programs:

• FAER/SEA Scholar
• FAER/SNACC Scholar
• FAER/SOCCA Scholar
• FAER/SPA Scholar
